HERE ARE SOME OF OUR SUCCESS STORIES

Increased Engagement

Situation:
A jury of 13 faced the task of deciding whether three doctors accused of malpractice were innocent or guilty of negligence in the case of a woman whose son was diagnosed with cerebral palsy after an induced labor. The case involved a number of novel and open-ended elements. The jury had to decide 4 main issues: what the standard of care is for the situation; whether or not the standard of care had been met; whether or not each doctor was negligent; and whether or not the negligence directly resulted in the child’s injuries. Depending on the outcome of those decisions, the jury also needed to decide on an amount of money to be awarded to the child and each of the parents. The amount of damages was completely up to the jury to decide, and no precedents were offered to guide the jury’s decision. The jury represented a variety of ages, ethnic backgrounds, and religious beliefs.

Need:
Many juries either hurry through a decision, or feel pushed into certain decisions by one or a few outspoken members. This leads to conflict, stress, and blocks in communication. It does not empower all people involved in the situation. Ultimately, it results in decisions based on limited perspectives. The jury needed an approach that would allow them to come to a decision that aligned them all to the purpose of the situation. They needed to work in a partnership that empowered all participants to express themselves fully to reach a decision based on the widest range of options.

Approach:
The foreperson used the World Ambassadors model to create an environment in which all views were expressed more fully. The foreperson used World Ambassador Techniques to set intentions, allow others to express their individual geniuses, and fostered a balanced exchange of interaction. Conflicting viewpoints were expressed without judgment, and were used to created more options for decision-making.

Results:
The jury quickly reached a decision that all jurors supported, and that each assumed individual responsibility for creating. The judge later informed the jury that the case was the most emotional one she had ever presided over. Despite the highly charged situation, the judge was confident the jury’s decision would hold without appeal.

In addition, she tapped into a new source of excellence within herself that increased the degree of service she was able to provide to others through her writing.

Increased Financial Freedom
Situation:
A professional making a radical shift in her career wanted to create financial abundance to sustain her until she realized income from her new endeavor.

Need:
Many people fear change, especially in our careers. This professional needed to create a new mind-set that allowed her to align with her highest sense of purpose and also open to more options for creating what she needed on a financial level in her life. Her perspectives on “how the money should come” into her life were limiting her sources of potential income.

She used techniques to create abundance. She established a new level of dialogue with herself, and transformed the inner conflicts she had about money into a new openness about financial support.

Results:
Within a few weeks, the professional received the financial support she needed from an unexpected source. This allowed her to begin making the career shift she desired, while freeing her from financial worries. In addition, she achieved a closer alignment to her own source of creativity and excellence, which allowed her to sustain a flow of resources in her
life.
